The second slot of CAT 2022 was “a little more challenging” compared to the previous slot. The Quants section was at the tougher side while VARC and DILR were “easy to moderate”, says Sumit Singh Gandhi, Founder, CATKing. CAT 2022 LIVE UPDATES.

In the second slot, there were a total of 66 questions – 24 from VARC, 20 from DILR and 22 from QA, the CAT exam expert has said.

The marking criteria remained same as slot 1 – plus three for correct answers and -1 for answers in MCQs and +3 for the correct answers with no negative marking in non-MCQs. The total mark is 198, also same as slot 1.

CAT 2022 VARC

The Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension sections of slot 2 of CAT 2022 was at moderate level of difficulty. In total, 24 questions were to be answered in the allotted 40 minutes.

Two passages were simple to read, 2 passages were challenging, and each had 2 questions that could be answered.

CAT 2022 DILR

There were 20 questions total in the Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning part in slot 2, broken up into 4 sets.

DILR was moderate to challenging in slot 2 of CAT 2022. Two sets had 4 questions and other 2 sets had 6 questions .

CAT 2022 QA

Quants in slot 2 of CAT 2022 was tough . It contained 22 short questions to be answered in 40 minutes. There were 8 non-MCQs in the section.
